these are some prints that i did in the darkroom last year. all took on my little Pentax MV 35mm pocket rocket.

TURNERS ASBESTOS

these are some photos that i took today of the old asbestos factory in rochdale that i used to go and play in as a kid. its all closed off now because its dangerous or something. they spoil all the fun them bloody health and safety people.

Sarah Walker

Antique English books cast in ice sit on a book shelf cast from a piece of driftwood found on the beach in her hometown of Morecambe. The ice is displayed on a custom-made base in which the melted water slowly drains and collects in two large tubes below. This piece represents the constantly evolving nature of the English language. The photographs of Sarah's work displayed in London were taken by Tim Ferguson, a designer and musician based in London. His page can be found here:

"Red Drapes are a four-piece band currently situated in London, England. Their Melancholic sound and strong lyrical emphasis takes influence from post-punk and new wave bands of the '80s, The Smiths, Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen and The Cure."

I met Red Drapes in July last year whilst I was showing my film "Insomniac" at the Free Range Art Show on Brick Lane in London. We like each other's work so we have started a collaboration which will hopefully develop further. The content of the paintings below has grown from my personal interpretations of their music; particularly the words and atmosphere of "Reflection". They are based on photographs I originally took in Morecambe; a seaside resort town in the North West of England.

An oldie but a goodie

i've had this photo knocking about for ages, its been used on flyers for a band i was in, i've done a series of painting on it and i've used it recentley for a as a location for a bigger shoot, i don't quite know why it works but people seem to like it.
